Statement on minimum wage negotiation for 2021

On 23 June 2020, the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC) issued a statement regarding the temporary postpone of minimum wage negotiation for 2021. This statement is made upon the current circumstance of the COVID-19 outbreak that severely affects the textile, garment and footwear sector. In light of this pandemic, delaying the minimum wage negotiations will be a mechanism to support the sector to stay alive as well as maintain employment for workers.
